I currently provide technology diligence services to venture capital companies, and consulting services to their portfolio members as well as other clients. My largest VC client is E. M. Warburg Pincus and Co., LLC., to which I provide pre-investment technology diligence services and post investment portfolio management services, focusing on organizational and software production methodologies, distributed service-based application architecture design and review, and project triage. Other current clients include companies in the automotive manufacturing and cable markets. I have worked with Hargis and Montgomery, Inc. (hydrogeology), Hughes Aircraft Company (US Defense Industry), Compaq (computer manufacturing), Wiltel (telecommunications), SHL/MCI Systemhouse (systems integration consulting), and BDM/TRW (systems integration consulting) and their respective partners and clients on a full time basis as a senior technologist and consultant from 1981-1998. I started my own consulting practice in 1998, and have worked with Level3 Communications (telecommunications), IGS (systems integration consulting), Indus International (systems integration consulting), Transition Partners Limited (venture capital), Warburg Pincus (venture capital) and global Warburg portfolio members since then. I am an experienced software engineer and have worked and consulted in the telecommunication and IT industries for over 20 years.
